Odd Breads
Posted: September 6, 2009 Filed under: Accessories, DIY | Tags: Odd breads 6 CommentsWhat can you buy for 25p these days? Not a great deal and I couldn’t tell ya the last thing I purchased for the princely sum of 25p with the exception of these “odd breads” that I saw at the till point in New Look yesterday. There were several bags of busted bracelets and broken whatevers for £1.50- £2.50 that didn’t tempt me but the dirto cheapo price tag on the breads did. I don’t think they all came from the same necklace but it matters not, I threaded most of them together on a piece of ribbon (it was too wide to thread the tiny pink ones onto) and hey presto- a brand new loaf.
Wow, that’s really pretty!
I love the misspelling, makes me think the woman writing it must have been looking forward to her lunchbreak.
“Tell me, where are fancy breads….”?
pretty necklace – makes me wish i was creative. on a different note, what’s up with that article in the paper that you placed the necklace on “… long skirts spread germs”????
franzi
The article is a review on a book about women fighting for the right to higher education in the early 20th century. Long skirts spread germs was one of the arguments stated to keep women out of universities along with other concerns that it will make women infertile/ frigid/ promiscuous/ daft. The review is here…. http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2009/sep/05/bluestockings-jane-robinson-review
I like it!
That’s really pretty. You’re a talent gal.
